Ascension Milwaukee is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide advanced respiratory care, assess patients, and develop individualized care plans. You will implement, monitor, and document care and equipment, evaluating outcomes to ensure effectiveness. You will respond to all emergency resuscitation team calls.

Qualifikationen

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed by state board (WI) prior to hire.
• ALS preferred; Pediatric ALS preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.

Your future role at a glance

• Provide advanced respiratory care modalities, including the evaluation and care of patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies.
• Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop comprehensive, individualized plans of care based on the diagnosis.
• Implement and continuously monitor the patient care plan and associated equipment, meticulously recording and communicating changes in the patient's condition.
• Evaluate respiratory practices, the administration of medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes to ensure effectiveness.
• Respond to all emergency resuscitation team calls.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
