Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI is hiring for a Respiratory Therapist on the night shift, part-time. You will develop and manage individualized care plans and administer therapies to support recovery.

Educating patients and families and providing airway management during emergencies are key responsibilities for this role.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• RCP credential from Wisconsin board required prior to hire.
• ALS and PALS preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent or higher required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Develop and manage individualized respiratory care plans, adjusting therapies and equipment to ensure safe and effective treatment.

• Administer respiratory medications and interventions while monitoring patient progress to prevent complications and support recovery.

• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and provide expert airway management during emergencies and resuscitation events.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
  degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
