Ascension in Mequon, WI seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide day shift care on Saturdays and Sundays, part-time. You will assess respiratory needs, implement therapies, and participate in emergency response with a focus on patient education and equipment readiness.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assess respiratory health needs and develop personalized, evidence-based care plans to ensure targeted and effective treatment for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
• Implement advanced respiratory care modalities and continuously monitor patient responses, making timely clinical adjustments to support optimal recovery.
• Lead life-saving interventions during cardiopulmonary emergencies as a critical member of the resuscitation team to ensure rapid, effective response.
• Empower patients and their families by providing clear, compassionate education on their condition, treatments, and available community resources to foster confident self-management.
• Ensure procedural readiness by maintaining and calibrating all respiratory equipment, guaranteeing reliable performance during every critical care delivery.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
