Ascension is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Milwaukee, WI at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee. The role includes night shifts and 36 hours per week, with local and national travel as needed.

You will assess patients, implement care plans, perform advanced respiratory modalities, monitor conditions, and educate patients and families. We value compassionate care and teamwork within a supportive Ascension environment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner or NBRC Registered credentials obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from AAP preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively.

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 1 year+ of recent RRT experience.
