Job summary

Provident Bank in New Jersey is seeking a Personal Banker (Float) to build relationships with customers and identify financial needs while handling transactions across branches in the North West Region, including Sparta. The role involves both sales and service duties, meeting deposit, loan and revenue goals, and supporting branch operations.

The position requires occasional travel between Sparta, Milton, Hampton, and Wantage, with potential life and health licensing eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of sales and service experience in a customer facing retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon the needs of the business.
• Demonstrates positive and professional demeanor with all customers and co-workers.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Understand and adhere to safety and security practices.
• Demonstrate and apply good relationship building skills.
• Proficient at establishing strong connections with customers through consultative conversations.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales referrals and cross-selling goals by knowing the features and benefits of all products and services to satisfy the needs of the customers.
• Promotes bank products, refer or resolve customer inquiries concerning accounts or other banking services.
• Actively refers customers for commercial products or services to branch manager or market manager.
• Exceed customer expectations through active engagement and dedication to servicing and building customer relationships.
• Advance the Bank's Corporate Sales Program through assessments of customers, developing relationships and managing a book-of-business.
