Provident Bank is seeking a Personal Banker (Float) to build relationships with customers across the North West Region, traveling to Wantage, Montague, Vernon, Branchville, and Lafayette Township. The role combines transaction duties with sales, including deposits, loans, and referrals to other departments.

The position emphasizes meeting sales targets, delivering a positive customer experience, and supporting branch operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of sales and service experience in a customer-facing retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Positive, professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
• Strong math and analytical skills; safety and security practices.
• Demonstrate relationship-building and consultative selling with customers.
• Proficient in quickly learning computer programs including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales referrals and cross-sell goals by understanding product features and benefits.
• Promote bank products and resolve customer inquiries about accounts or services.
• Refer customers to business partners for commercial products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships.
• Manage a book of business and grow deposits and loans.
• Support branch operations and end-of-day processes as needed.
