Job summary

Provident Bank's Personal Banker (Float) role supports customers across the Coastal Region, with assignments mainly in Wall Township and nearby branches. The position blends transactional duties with proactive sales and service in a fast-paced banking environment.

The role requires building relationships, identifying customer financial needs, opening accounts, cross-selling products, and guiding customers to appropriate departments while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months of sales and service experience in a customer facing retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication; ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales referrals and cross-selling goals by knowing features and benefits of all products and services.
• Promote bank products and refer or resolve customer inquiries.
• Cross-sell and refer to other departments as needed.
• Maintain cash drawer accuracy and balance end of day; support branch operations.
• Assist in training other branch employees and supporting contact center during high volumes.
