Job summary

Illinois Tool Works (Buehler) is seeking a Field Service Technician to support after-sales service across the Northeastern territory. You will operate remotely, act as the technical expert for servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems, and ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive service and calibration.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience or equivalent, with an Associate’s degree in electronics or mechanical engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent field experience in electronics/mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with field-based electronic instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; willing to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via phone or ticketing system.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and full diagnostics of systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and provide formal service quotes.
• Conduct full system testing and calibrations after repairs.
• Manage service cases and travel schedules according to ITW guidelines.
• Support service growth across the Northeastern territory.
