Job summary

Buehler, a division of Illinois Tool Works, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Northeastern territory remotely, traveling up to 70% across several US states. You will diagnose and repair servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems, provide service quotes, and ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive maintenance and clear communication.

Strong CAD/Electrical schematic interpretation and office software skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or high school diploma with 5–7 years field experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via telephone and ticketing system.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical & electrical system failures.
• Provide formal service quotes to customers.
• Conduct full system testing and calibrations after repairs.
• Manage service cases and travel schedules to meet KPIs and travel guidelines.
• Support service growth with the region.
