Job summary

Buehler, a division of Illinois Tool Works, is seeking a Field Service Technician to manage after-sales and warranty service across the Northeastern territory. This remote role serves as the primary technical expert for servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring high customer satisfaction through service excellence in the region.

Responsibilities include remote support, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, quotes, testing, and travel coordination.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with 3–5 years of field-based experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills; ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via telephone and ticketing system.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and full diagnostics of mechanical and electrical system failures.
• Provide formal service quotes to customers and conduct system testing after repairs.
• Manage travel schedule and expenses in line with ITW guidelines and meet KPIs.
