Job summary

Buehler, a division of Illinois Tool Works, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support after-sales and warranty service across the Northeastern United States. The role operates remotely and requires travel within the region to service servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.

You will diagnose, repair, test, and quote service work while maintaining KPIs and safety standards. Qualified candidates have an associate degree in Electronics/Mech Eng or a HS Diploma with substantial field

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in Electronics/Mech Eng with 3–5 years field exp, or HS Diploma with 5–7 years in electronic instrumentation maintenance.
• Adheres to workplace safety standards and practices.
• Strong diagnostic skills; able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with MS Office; Navision and Dynamics CRM a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; travel up to 70% within the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via telephone and ticketing system.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical system failures.
• Provide formal service quotes to customers.
• Conduct full system testing and calibrations after repairs.
• Manage service cases to meet KPIs; travel per ITW guidelines.
• Support service growth within the Northeastern region.
