Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee tribally owned buildings and properties in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

You will coordinate maintenance, custodial services, and daily operations to ensure facilities are safe, clean, and functional. The role requires inspections, tenant coordination, and emergency response, with guidance from the Director of Facilities and Construction.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of building systems and trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Experience with facility operations/maintenance management is preferred.
• Familiarity with tribal policies, safety procedures, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of tribally owned buildings and properties in the Upper Peninsula.
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance and custodial staff regionally; report on completion.
• Respond to facility issues and coordinate with vendors for timely resolution.
