Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Regional EHS Manager based in Elko, Nevada to lead the continuous enhancement of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across mining sites.

Qualifications

• Relocate to Elko, Nevada (relocation bonus available).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience in EHS roles.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS management experience in mining, heavy equipment manufacturing, or construction.
• 3+ years of leadership overseeing EHS programs across multiple sites.
• Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining safety standards.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Ability to travel up to 20% in the Elko region to support field operations.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs meeting federal, state, local regulations (MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Partner with regional and site leadership to embed EHS in planning and decisions.
• Oversee site inspections, hazard identification, audits, and corrective actions.
• Lead in-depth incident investigations and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Design and deliver role-specific EHS training for supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Manage contractor safety compliance and foster cooperative relationships at customer sites.
• Collaborate with HR on wellness, workers' comp, and return‑to‑work programs.
• Oversee environmental compliance for hazardous materials, waste, stormwater, spill prevention.
• Provide expertise on occupational health matters (industrial hygiene, ergonomics).
• Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity across sites.
• Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and respond to findings.
• Develop and report EHS metrics to leadership to enable data-driven decisions.
• Build partnerships with mine site stakeholders to align EHS with operations.
