Job summary
Smith+Nephew Life Unlimited is seeking a District Manager for the Advanced Wound Management team in the United States. You will lead a team of account managers selling the biologic portfolio in acute and nursing home settings, shaping strategy and coaching field staff to outperform in a competitive wound care market.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and extensive medical sales leadership experience, with travel expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years medical sales managerial experience.
- Minimum of 5 years medical sales with complex sales experience.
- Proven ability to present concepts to customers in formal/informal settings.
- Sales trainer experience preferred.
- Travel: Regular weekly overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative team environment with account managers and support teams.
- Ensure proper territory coverage, account penetration and sales time allocation.
- Coach team members on sales skills through weekly field rides.
- Provide resources and mentorship to overcome field obstacles.
- Identify high-potential managers and work with AVP on development opportunities.
- Identify, assess and address opportunities for performance improvement.
