Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking a District Manager for Advanced Wound Management in the Houston area. You will lead a team of account managers selling in acute and nursing home settings, driving a competitive wound care portfolio and building a high-performing sales force.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of medical sales experience, and 3+ years in sales leadership. Expect regular weekly overnight travel and opportunities to mentor peers while shaping growth across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years medical sales managerial experience.
• Minimum of 5 years medical sales with a proven complex sales process.
• Ability to present key concepts and recommendations to customers.
• Sales trainer experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills including pipeline and territory management.
• Professional training program experience (e.g., Challenger Selling).
• Travel: Regular weekly overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Foster a collaborative team environment across the team and support groups.
• Ensure proper Account Manager territory coverage and account penetration.
• Support and coach team members on sales skills through weekly field rides.
• Provide resources and mentorship to overcome field obstacles.
• Identify leaders among account managers and coordinate with AVP for development opportunities.
• Identify, assess, and address performance improvement opportunities.
