Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead design, pre-construction, and construction activities on major campus projects. The role involves coordinating with Facilities, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, and vendors to deliver updates for executive reviews and to drive project success.

The position requires 8+ years of commercial construction experience and strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of commercial construction experience, including Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build delivery from conceptual development through closeout.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint for executive updates; Excel for budgets).
• Onsite project monitoring experience (approximately 50% time).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design, pre-construction, and construction activities on assigned projects.
• Interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff; communicate updates for executive reviews.
• Travel onsite up to 50%–75% of the project duration.
• Manage multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Develop and communicate a master development program and campus design solution with capital budgets; manage entitlement and permitting needs.
