Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to drive Strategic Operating Priorities.

The role engages in scientific exchange, research discussions, and investigator-sponsored studies, liaising between the scientific community and Merck to advance approved, in-development, and Company-sponsored trials. Travel up to 50% within the North East region is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the degree.
• Proven ability to engage with senior scientific leaders and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional scientific leaders to provide access to approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a reliable medical contact within the company.
• Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries to appropriate company resources.
• Keeps current knowledge of the scientific environment in the therapeutic AOI.
