Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to advance scientific exchange and inform stakeholders across the Northeast region. The role integrates medical science with company strategies, supporting approved trials and investigator-initiated studies.

You will lead peer discussions with SLs, navigate regulatory standards, and foster inclusion while traveling up to 50% within the territory.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/DNP/DO/MD and 3+ years in COPD/respiratory.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations relevant to pharma.
• Ability to work independently and in field settings.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Engage in scientific exchange with national/regional SLs and provide company-approved information.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain medical contact within company.
• Address questions outside scope and direct to appropriate resources.
• Support research concepts and investigator-sponsored studies within AOI.
