Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to drive Strategic Operating Priorities.

The role involves engaging with regional scientific leaders, providing factual medical information, and advancing company-approved research and investigator-sponsored studies. The incumbent will liaise between the scientific community and Merck to enhance understanding of scientific goals, ensuring compliance with GCP, SOPs, and GMSA

Qualifications

• Requires PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic experience beyond degree.
• Proven abilities in stakeholder management and communication.
• Strong knowledge of COPD/Respiratory and scientific education.

Responsibilities

• Engage with national and regional SLs to provide approved medical information.
• Lead scientific discussions and maintain medical contact with SLs.
• Coordinate with GCSA and GCTO on study concepts and site selections.
• Support scientific exchange, inquiries, and investigator-initiated research.
