Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to drive Strategic Operating Priorities.

The credentialed leader will engage with national and regional Scientific Leaders, delivering balanced scientific information about Company-sponsored and in-development programs. The role covers the North East region and requires up to 50% travel; candidates must reside in the territory and show at least 3 years of COPD/Respiratory experience

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• 3+ years of relevant COPD/Respiratory experience beyond terminal degree.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations and related guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with national and regional SLs to share approved medical information.
• Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries to appropriate resources.
• Leads in-site initiation and investigator interactions for trials and studies.
• Engages in scientific congresses and facilitates data exchange.
• Gathers insights to advance scientific needs and priorities.
