Job summary

Makita USA is seeking a Regional Contractor Sales Manager to lead a team of Regional, District, and Territory Managers focused on growth in designated markets. You will build relationships with end-users, distributors, and dealers, and implement strategies to expand market share while maintaining Makita’s standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
• 15+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial, industrial, or residential construction, or related industries.
• Willingness to travel overnight 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Communicate corporate sales objectives and motivate the regional sales team to achieve goals.
• Report progress toward targeted corporate sales objectives to the Director.
• Ensure the regional sales team conducts Job Site visits, training opportunities, and end-user targeting.
• Mentor Territory Managers to be more effective at solution selling in the field.
• Drive regional sales goals and market share growth through end-user and distributor engagement.
