Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Director of Community Relations to drive enrollment growth by cultivating trusted relationships with families, schools, and community leaders. You will design and host a diverse mix of gatherings, recruit ambassadors, and build partnerships with public officials and business executives.

On-site in multiple cities with regular local travel, you will track introductions and opportunities in the CRM and deliver measurable results within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience growing a community or client base through relationships with measurable results.
• Experience designing and running at least 20 gatherings in total, including 3 events with 100+ attendees and 10 gatherings with 12 or fewer attendees, with budgets responsibility.
• Established relationships with at least three elected or appointed officials, executives, or founders with demonstrable outcomes.
• One of: Ivy League degree; top consulting/investment banking/public relations firm; board seat at an anchor institution; Chief of Staff with leaders; or directed tours in foreign service.
• CRM or relationship-tracking system used to log contacts, first-touch sources, follow-ups, and actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver several gatherings each month, including open events and family retreats, within budget.
• Secure venues, hosts, and vendors and personally host events.
• Recruit and coordinate parent ambassadors, match them with prospective families, including school tours.
• Build relationships with public officials and business leaders to secure venues and support for campus openings.
• Connect enrolled families with parent circles and students with mentors, masterclasses and internships; welcome alumni within 30 days of graduation.
• Record every gathering and introduction in the CRM and maintain accurate records of opportunities created.
