Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to build relationships and identify new opportunities across a defined territory. You will engage with industry stakeholders, analyze market dynamics, and drive opportunities from discovery to closing.

You will represent Sedgwick at conferences, manage follow-ups, and collaborate with internal teams to align capabilities with client needs. Travel is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in business development, sales support, account management, client engagement, customer success, or similar role.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships and identifies business development opportunities through industry engagement, networking, and market intelligence.
• Represents the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, association meetings, and networking events within an assigned territory.
• Analyzes priorities, service capabilities, and market opportunities to identify areas for business development engagement.
• Documents findings and provides business development recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Conducts discovery conversations to understand organizational capabilities and alignment with client needs.
• Qualifies opportunities against established criteria and communicates insights to stakeholders.
• Leads nurturing and relationship development through follow-up plans and multi-channel outreach.
• Supports territory growth strategies through targeted outreach, lead generation, and relationship development.
• Gathers intelligence on industry trends and competitor activity to share market insights.
