Job summary

Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP seeks a Regional Business Development & Marketing Manager for the San Francisco office. The role partners with California leadership to drive regional growth and coordinate growth strategies for the Technology & Media Industry Group, Technology Transactions practice, and Telecommunications practice.

The position requires strong writing and project management skills, experience in professional services, and ability to manage budgets and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of six years of marketing and business development experience.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services setting preferred.
• Experience supporting technology/media industries preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage budgets and measure ROI.
• Leadership experience including mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to develop business plans for growth in California and key practice groups.
• Develop pitches, proposals, and responses to RFPs for client opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning.
• Manage marketing collateral, website content, brochures, and bios.
• Coordinate webinars, client events, and sponsorship opportunities.
• Lead submissions for directories and rankings; coordinate cross-practice initiatives.
• Develop regional marketing budgets and track expenditures.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and support department priorities.
