Job summary

Arnold & Porter in San Francisco seeks a Regional Business Development & Marketing Manager to lead initiatives across California and the Technology & Media Industry Group, Technology Transactions, and Telecommunications practices. You will partner with California leadership to develop a market strategy, strengthen client relationships, and drive firmwide growth.

The role involves crafting pitches, managing campaigns, coordinating webinars and client events, and leading regional sponsorships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of six years of marketing and business development experience.
• Prior experience in a law firm, professional services organization, financial services firm, or investment bank preferred.
• Experience supporting the technology and media industry strongly preferred; knowledge of the California market desired.
• Strong writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency with CRM systems such as DealCloud, experience management tools such as Foundation, and AI-enabled tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and attorneys to develop business plans and growth strategies for the Technology & Media Industry Group, Technology Transactions, and Telecommunications practice.
• Develop pitches, proposals, and responses to requests for proposals tailored to client opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities.
• Manage marketing collateral, including website content, brochures, capability statements, and biographies.
• Coordinate webinars and client events with the Events Team, including on-site support.
