Job summary

Arnold & Porter seeks a Regional Business Development & Marketing Manager to lead initiatives across California and support firmwide growth for the Technology & Media Industry Group, Technology Transactions, and Telecommunications practice. This role is based in our San Francisco office.

You will partner with California leadership and attorneys to develop market strategies, craft pitches, analyze trends, and manage budgets while coordinating cross-office opportunities and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of six years of marketing and business development experience.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services is preferred.
• Experience supporting technology and media industry in California is preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems like DealCloud and experience management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead industry group and practice support initiatives and growth strategies.
• Develop pitches, proposals, and responses to RFPs tailored to client opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning.
• Manage marketing collateral and event coordination with cross-office teams.
• Coordinate webinars, client events, and sponsorships; support lateral partner integration.
• Lead submissions for directories and rankings; manage budgets and ROI.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members; align with broader Marketing priorities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and leverage CRM insights for growth.
