Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Tucson, Arizona seeks a Housing & Integration Specialist to support long-term housing stability and self-sufficiency for clients. You will educate tenants on rights, manage applications for public and subsidized housing, and coordinate with authorities and landlords to ensure continuity of housing.

Responsibilities include tracking outcomes, assisting with documentation, and advocating for clients with housing authorities while collaborating with staff

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.
• Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research and problem-solving purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing stability case management toward long-term housing security and self-sufficiency.
• Educate clients on tenant rights, lease renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures.
• Assist with applications, recertifications, and renewals for public and subsidized housing programs.
• Identify clients at risk of eviction and connect them to emergency rental assistance and resources.
• Maintain relationships with housing authorities, subsidized housing providers, and landlords.
