Job summary

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) is seeking a Clerical Associate to support the Early Intervention Program (EIP). You will manage referrals, enter data, and create electronic case records while using Outlook, Word, and Excel to complete tasks and communications.

The role emphasizes accuracy, meeting deadlines, and strong communication. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, and a flexible approach to office support is valued.

Qualifications

• A four-year high school diploma or equivalent approved by a State education department.
• Type a minimum of 100 keystrokes per minute (20 words per minute).
• This position may be eligible for the 55a Program. Residency in NYC may apply.

Responsibilities

• Process Early Intervention Program referrals via Centralized Call Center or fax-to-email line.
• Enter referrals into Electronic Case Management system and assign case workers.
• Create electronic child case records and use Microsoft Office to prepare emails and tasks.
• Provide clerical support to facilitate EIP projects and perform other duties as assigned.
