The City of New York Health Department is seeking a Public Health Adviser to support STI clinic operations, disease intervention, and health promotion programs across NYC. The role emphasizes EMR documentation, specimen handling, patient recall, and community health education.

Successful candidates will hold relevant degrees or equivalent experience, with opportunities to contribute to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health initiatives and public health policy development.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree with twelve semester credits in health education or related sciences.
• Six months of health promotion experience or equivalent.
• Four-year high school diploma with four years of related experience.
• Education/experience equivalent to above requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and document intake in the EMR.
• Prepare examination rooms for vaccines.
• Process specimens for STI/Monkey Pox testing and route to appropriate area.
• Recall patients with reactive results via text, phone and email.
• Recall patients for missed appointments and reschedule as needed.
• Collect fingerstick specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
