Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 2–3 years of specialty clinic experience, gastroenterology preferred.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.
• Computer literate; able to operate healthcare systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, reschedules, and manages cancellations and no-shows for patient visits and procedures.
• Maintains physician schedules and endoscopy block times; schedules patients per availability.
• Collects and records accurate patient information per UD documentation requirements.
• Coordinates scheduling of referrals from PCPs and other specialists; liaises with hospitals as needed.
• Answers calls, emails, and messages; provides information to patients and referring providers.
• Greets patients onsite; provides information about medical treatments or procedures.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and confidentiality; supports payment collection processes.
• Cross-trains in front-office functions and travels to UD locations for coverage.
