Job summary

United Digestive is seeking a full-time Referral Coordinator/Front Desk staff to schedule patient visits and procedures, manage referrals, and coordinate communications with physicians and hospitals. The role requires multi-site coverage within the Metro area and strong HIPAA compliance.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, CMA preferred, and 2–3 years in a specialty clinic (gastroenterology preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CMA preferred.
• 2–3 years of specialty clinic experience, gastroenterology preferred.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.
• Must be computer literate and operate healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, reschedules, and manages cancellations and no shows for patient visits and procedures.
• Maintains and updates physician schedules and endoscopy block times.
• Coordinates referrals from Primary Care physicians and other specialists.
• Answers calls, emails, and handles patient information with HIPAA compliance.
• Greets patients and counsels on medical information; distributes prep materials.
• Acts as liaison between the office and referring physician practices and hospitals.
• Travels to multiple office locations within the Metro area to provide front office coverage.
