Russell Tobin is hiring a Reference Specialist in the United States for a background screening and verification services client. You will handle inbound and outbound calls and emails to collect candidate information and verify references in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication, active listening, documentation accuracy, and the ability to navigate multiple computer applications. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails with professional and personal references to collect candidate information.
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls with landlords to obtain rental history and tenant verification information.
• Collect, verify, and accurately document personal, professional, and rental reference information.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent communication during all internal and external interactions.
• Follow established standards and guidelines to maintain the accuracy and quality of results.
• Handle escalated cases and perform additional follow-up to obtain required reference and tenant verification information.
• Use effective probing and active listening skills to gather complete and accurate information.
• Navigate multiple computer applications efficiently while maintaining speed and accuracy.
• Accurately document information and maintain organized records.
• Use sound judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
• Multitask effectively and complete assigned work within required timelines.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Work occasional overtime as needed to meet business objectives.
