Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to service and repair diesel fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, and lift gates, at our onsite facilities. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance per DOT standards and timely response to road calls in collaboration with vendors and partners.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of hands-on refrigeration tech experience, reading service manuals, and familiarity with fleet maintenance software.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
• Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
• Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certificates.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
