Job summary

SimVentions seeks a seasoned Red Team Penetration Tester to perform offensive cyber operations for DoD and US Government systems. You will work with Blue Team professionals to raise cyber posture, while meeting stringent clearance and citizenship requirements.

The role requires active Secret clearance (Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred) and hands-on experience with Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required for this position
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility preferred
• U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a clearance
• 5+ years of software engineering experience applied to DoD/IT systems
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows with enterprise networking understanding
• Strong experience with Penetration Testing tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike
• Experience in Red Team operations or tool/software development (exploits, malware, C2)
• Programming languages: Python, C, C++, Go, Perl, PowerShell
• Experience with AD, Entra ID, Azure integration, IAM, and MFA
• Experience with AWS, cloud services, RESTful/SOAP web services, OAuth2/SAML LDAP

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs
• Develop and debug Web 2.0, Java, Perl, C++, and related scripts
• Operate and administer systems (Linux/UNIX and Windows)
• Identify security flaws in source code and architecture
• Apply NSA STIGs and encryption technologies
• Implement virtual hosting and deception technologies in architectures
• Contribute to code reviews and static analysis
• Document security procedures and operational manuals
