Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in the U.S. government cybersecurity space seeks a seasoned Red Team Penetration Tester to assess DoD and government systems.

You will work with Blue Team and security engineers to identify and exploit vulnerabilities, building robust defenses. This role requires active security clearances (Secret required, Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred), deep hands-on testing, scripting, and experience with tools like Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience in software engineering applied to DoD or Information Technology systems.
• Linux proficiency with strong knowledge; Windows understanding in enterprise networks.
• Strong experience with Penetration Testing tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.
• Experience in Red Team operations, exploit development, or security research.
• Scripting: Python, C, C++, Go, PowerShell; Web tech: REST/SOAP, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows Events and Linux syslogs/logs.
• Develop and debug Web 2.0, Java, C++, and scripting GUIs.
• Identify and mitigate security flaws; recommend mitigations.
• Operate systems across Linux/Unix/Windows environments.
