Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Red Team Penetration Tester to conduct offensive cybersecurity operations for U.S. Government and DoD systems.

The role requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance (Top Secret with SCI preferred) and citizenship for clearance eligibility. You will work with the Blue Team to harden defenses, perform penetration testing, and develop exploit/defense tooling across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments including AWS.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in software engineering applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and enterprise Windows networks.
• Experience with penetration testing tools and red team operations.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs for security events.
• Develop and test security countermeasures and exploits where appropriate.
• Operate systems in varied UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.
• Identify security flaws in code and configurations; apply STIGs.
• Participate in code reviews and security documentation.
