Job summary

SimVentions, a Virginia-based cybersecurity firm, seeks an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to conduct penetration testing and offensive ops for U.S. Government and DoD systems.

You will collaborate with Blue Team and Cybersecurity staff to strengthen cyber posture. Minimum five years in software engineering for DoD/IT, strong Linux, Windows knowledge, and hands-on with pen-testing tools like Kali, Metasploit, NMAP and Cobalt Strike.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in software engineering applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Firm grasp of Linux.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows and enterprise networks.
• Strong working knowledge of PEN-TEST tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.
• Experience in PT/Red Team, tools development (exploits/malware, C2, reverse engineering).
• Experience with Python, C, C#, C++, Go, Perl, PowerShell.
• Experience with AD, SSO, MFA, Azure integration and identity federation.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events, Linux logs, boot and dmesg logs.
• Develop and debug software using languages and scripts.
• Identify security flaws in source code and systems.
• Suggest mitigations and apply STIGs to systems.
• Contribute to system security documentation and reviews.
