Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in Virginia is seeking an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to conduct penetration testing and offensive cybersecurity operations for the U.S. Government and DoD systems.

You will work with Blue Team and cybersecurity professionals to improve the overall security posture. The role requires an active Secret clearance (Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred), strong Linux/Windows expertise, and hands-on experience with tools like Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience in software engineering applied to DoD/IT systems.
• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred.
• Strong Linux and Windows knowledge with enterprise network understanding.
• Experience with Red Team operations, pentesting tools, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs and system data.
• Develop and debug Web apps and scripts using various languages.
• Recommend modifications to mitigate vulnerabilities and harden systems.
• Operate systems running UNIX/Linux and Windows.
• Identify security flaws in code and system configurations.
