Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to perform offensive cybersecurity for the U.S. Government and DoD, collaborating with Blue Team to improve overall cyber posture.

Requirements include five years of relevant experience, Linux and Windows proficiency, and hands-on use of Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike; strong coding in Python, C/C++, or Go; and an active Secret clearance (Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred).

Qualifications

• Five years of software engineering experience applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Linux and Windows proficiency with enterprise networking understanding.
• Experience with penetration testing tools (Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike).
• Experience in Red Team operations, tool development, Python/C/C++/Go/Powershell.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs.
• Develop and debug Web apps and scripts for security assessment.
• Identify security flaws and apply STIGs and encryption best practices.
• Support NSA-approved encryption implementations and system hardening.
• Participate in code reviews and static analysis.
