Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to assist Service Centers with recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates. You will develop pipelines, coordinate interviews, and support onboarding at the Service Center level.

In this role, you will travel to various centers and hiring events, collaborate with the Recruiting Manager, and maintain strong communication with center leadership to ensure staffing needs are met.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Prior HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.
• Experience interviewing and reviewing applications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in the ATS.
• Create training schedules for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs

Starting Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 per year. This amount reflects base compensation only.
