Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a motivated Recruiter to support service centers with recruitment, onboarding and training of quality candidates across multiple locations. You will travel to various service centers, career fairs and events, partnering with the Recruiting Manager to align strategies, build pipelines and manage interviews from application to placement.

A strong communicator with HR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for candidate interactions.
• Experience reviewing applications and interviewing candidates is a plus.
• HR or Recruiting experience preferred; familiarity with ATS systems.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to Service Centers, job fairs, and hiring events.

• Develop and source candidate pipelines via social media, job boards, referrals, and agencies.
• Review applications and recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Conduct in-person and virtual interviews and coordinate interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Onboard and orient new hires at the Service Center level and provide training.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires withon-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned

Starting Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 per year. This amount reflects base compensation only.
