Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Recruiter to support service centers in recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding quality candidates.

Responsibilities include building a strong pipeline, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding at the service centers. The role requires travel to various centers and events, collaboration with the Recruiting Manager, and experience in HR or recruiting.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong multitasking ability.
• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Previous HR or recruiting experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Source and recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Coordinate interviews and set up with Hiring Managers.
• Develop training schedules and assist onboarding at the service center level.
• Maintain pipeline and advance candidates through the hiring process.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies and goals.
• Travel to various service centers, career fairs, schools or events as needed.

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events


• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals


• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc


• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels


• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns


• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually


• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers


• Following up with candidates during the interview process


• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system


• Creating Training Schedule for new employees


• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level


• Training new Service Center employees


• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs


• Other duties as assigned

Starting Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 per year. This amount reflects base compensation only.
