Job summary

The Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL, seeks a recreation assistant to support MWR programs, events, rentals, tickets, and leisure activities. You will assist patrons, provide information, and run daily recreation services including bowling, movies, and fitness.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, follow safety rules, and perform clerical and custodial tasks as needed. Flexibility and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience providing information and assistance to customers and patrons.
• Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Capable of basic computer tasks and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned duties and provides services to patrons for recreation and fitness programs.
• Provides information concerning facilities and operation.
• Ensures adherence to regulations, safety and security procedures.
• May assist in maintaining routine reports and other general duties.
• Supports program delivery including inventory, equipment inspection, restocking, and registrations.
• Operates POS system, processes transactions, and handles payments.
• Greets patrons, answers inquiries, and routes requests to staff.
