Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking staff to support the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Community Recreation program. You will handle a range of duties from information services to event coordination and customer support on base, assisting with registrations, rentals, and program logistics.

Responsibilities include managing fees, inventory, and daily reports, helping with workshops and community events, and promoting base recreation opportunities through

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and or recreation activity-based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of goals, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning and conducting leisure time activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Collects fees from customers for tickets, retail and rental items, classes, trips and other programs.
• Maintains inventory and equipment and completes inspections upon return.
• Assists in planning, coordinating, publicizing, marketing and execution of MWR programs and events.
• Seeks ways to promote MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base.
