Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking an on-site Community Recreation support role to operate and assist in a variety of activities across ITT Office, campsites, arts and crafts, sports, and youth programs. You will help plan events, manage registrations, and oversee retail operations while ensuring safety and adherence to regulations.

The role emphasizes customer service, inventory control, and coordination with base partners to promote MWR programs and activities

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and or recreation activity based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the entire scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the operation of the recreation activity and supervises assigned youth in indoor/outdoor activities.
• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities, including eligibility checks.
• Collects fees from customers using POS and maintains daily sales accuracy.
• Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract participants.
• Maintains inventories of equipment, supplies and rental items; conducts inspections on return.
