Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a recreation program support specialist at Fort Worth, TX, to assist with information, resources, events, and equipment rentals across MWR activities including bowling, movies, fitness, and outdoor recreation.

Responsibilities include customer service, POS operations, clerical tasks, minor maintenance, and event setup, with adherence to safety and NAVMED P-5010 sanitation requirements. Some outdoor work and standing are involved.

Qualifications

• General experience or education sufficient to perform duties.
• Knowledge of the MWR department to assist customers.
• Keyboarding with POS and desktop computers.
• Ability to perform basic computer operations.
• Ability to read and follow published rules and SOPs.
• Ability to perform custodial tasks.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to identify customer needs and deliver service.
• Effective spoken and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and support for recreation and fitness programs.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, safety procedures.
• Assist in routine reports and custodial tasks.
• Support program delivery: inventory, restocking, POS, cash handling.
• Operate POS, process transactions, rentals, and registrations.
• Greet patrons, answer phones, refer to staff.
• Support event setup and breakdown.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
