Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at NAS Key West MWR is seeking staff to support daily operation of Fitness Centers and the Intramural Sports Program. You will handle customer service, scheduling, registrations, and basic facility upkeep with an emphasis on safety and participant engagement.

The role covers instructional support, event setup, and coordination of activities, requiring reliable communication and basic fitness knowledge to assist patrons and maintain orderly

Qualifications

• Six months general experience and six months specialized experience related to customer service or recreation activity functions.
• Knowledge of MWR policies, rules, and regulations for the work area.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to compute charges, disperse change, and prepare reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of basic fitness, aquatics and sports principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons: greeting, ID checks, gear issuance, and registration for facility use and events.
• Answer phones and provide information on hours, events, and programs.
• Process daily activity reports and cash handling when fees apply.
• Assist in planning and publicizing activities to attract participation.
• Oversee sale of retail items and monitor event activity for safety and order.
• Assist in selecting and delivering fitness, aquatics, and sports activities.
