Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at NAS Pensacola seeks a Community Recreation Assistant to support the MWR Community Recreation program, coordinating events, information resources, and recreational activities such as trips, rentals, library, and outdoor programs.

You will provide customer service, manage registrations, handle equipment checkouts, and assist in outreach and partnerships with base and community organizations while ensuring safety and NAVMED sanitation

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in organizing recreation activities and events.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Knowledge of goals and procedures for leisure time activities.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain records.
• Familiarity with NAVMED sanitation requirements and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and information for Community Recreation programs.
• Process registrations and manage daily sales and DAR reports.
• Handle rentals, checkouts, and inventory; collect fees.
• Assist with recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff.
• Support event planning, promotion, and outreach for MWR programs.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation requirements and safety procedures.
