Job summary

The Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at NAVSTA Great Lakes seeks staff to support the MWR program across locations, including The Liberty Program. Duties include assisting with events, programs, resale/retail operations, and providing recreational services and information to patrons.

Positions involve daily customer service, fee collection, facility opening/closing, inventory, and collaboration with base partners to promote MWR facilities and activities while adhering to

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and or recreation activity based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of goals, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing leisure time activities.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR mission and scope of Community Recreation activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Collects fees from customers for tickets, retail and rental items, and classes.
• Maintains daily sales records and prepares end-of-shift DAR.
• Assists in processing Internet registrations and event registrations.
• Checks in/out recreation equipment and manages inventory and inspections.
