Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at NAS Meridian invites applications for a Recreation Program support role. You will assist in delivering MWR activities, manage facility information, and help with events, rentals, and registrations.

Responsibilities include assisting patrons, performing basic custodial duties, operating POS, and maintaining reports. The role requires attention to safety rules and effective communication with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the MWR department to answer customer questions and refer customers to the appropriate activity.
• Skilled in keyboarding to operate POS systems and desktop computers.
• Ability to perform basic computer operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend to adhere to rules, SOPs, checklists, and guides.
• Ability to perform basic custodial tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to identify customer needs and deliver service.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned duties and provides services to patrons for recreation and fitness programs.
• Provides information about facilities and operations.
• Ensures adherence to regulations, safety, and security procedures.
• Maintains routine reports and performs clerical, custodial, and general maintenance duties.
• Supports recreation and fitness program delivery including inventory, restocking, POS, cash handling.
• Operates cash register and POS system for transactions including rentals and registrations.
• Greets patrons, answers calls, handles requests, refers to staff as needed.
• Adheres to sanitation requirements (NAVMED P-5010).
• Provides support for event setup and breakdown.
